Prof. Dr. Josef Herget is an Information Scientist and founder of the research think tank Excellence Institute, a sister (well, rather: brother) institute of Excellence Research.

Before his current work he was the head of the Center for Information and Knowledge Management at Danube University Krems. Herget worked as a university teacher in Germany, Switzerland, Turkey and Austria, as a an expert assessor/evaluator for the EU and International Organizations, has extensive international reserach and advisory experience and his publication record comprises more than 300 books and papers.

Besides his international scientific work Herget was also founder and owner of an international consulting company in Konstanz, Germany.

In recent years the focus of his work has been with Corporate Culture, Consulting Governance and Business Excellence.
